MRI CV JUNCTION is a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study performed at MedVocs partner diagnostic centres. MRI uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves — not radiation — to produce highly detailed images of soft tissues, joints, nerves, and internal organs.

Your images are reviewed and reported by a qualified radiologist, and the report is shared digitally along with films or a CD/drive where requested. MRI CV JUNCTION is typically advised by your doctor to investigate pain, injury, unexplained symptoms, or to plan or follow up treatment.

• Carry your doctor's prescription/referral note and any previous scans or reports for comparison.
• Remove all metal objects — jewellery, watches, hairpins, coins, cards, belts, and removable dental pieces — before entering the scan room.
• Inform the technologist if you have a pacemaker, cochlear implant, metal implants, surgical clips, or any implanted device — some devices are not MRI-safe.
• Tell the team if you are or may be pregnant, or if you experience claustrophobia — mild sedation or an accompanying attendant can be arranged in advance.
• No fasting is generally required for a plain (non-contrast) MRI unless your doctor advises otherwise.
• Wear comfortable clothing without metal zips or buttons; a gown may be provided.

   You will lie on a motorised table that slides into the MRI scanner. The machine makes loud knocking sounds — earplugs or headphones are provided.

   It is important to stay completely still during each imaging sequence for sharp images.

   Most sequences run automatically; the technologist watches you throughout and can hear you through an intercom.

   The scan itself is painless. Once sequences are complete, you can resume normal activities immediately.

The scan takes about 20–45 minutes depending on the region studied. The radiologist's report is typically available within 24 hours; urgent reporting can be requested for emergencies.

• MRI is not performed with certain pacemakers, neurostimulators, cochlear implants, or metal fragments in the eye — always declare implants beforehand.
• Inform the team about pregnancy, especially in the first trimester.
• MRI involves no ionising radiation, so it can be safely repeated when medically indicated.
• If you are claustrophobic, discuss options (positioning, mild sedation, accompanying person) when booking.
